I had the great pleasure of going around to personally meet and award the four winners of our recent Great McHenry Life Directory Drive Giveaway! For those who missed it, this was a special giveaway sweepstakes we did that was only open to McHenry County businesses, organizations, and nonprofits who were already or then added their organization into our business directory. The goal of course was to further promote McHenry Life and encourage organizations to claim or add their organization to the Directory.
The Winners
Bookkeeping By Samantha
Our grand prize winner of $500 went to Bookkeeping By Samantha LLC, a new startup out of Harvard, IL, offering virtual bookkeeping services.
McHenry Downtown Theater
Second prize of $300 went to McHenry Downtown Theater in McHenry, IL, which has also innovated and expanded into live events!

Our final winner of $100 was also a recent startup from Island Lake, IL, Leah’s Roofing, who is quickly making a name for herself in the roofing industry.
A huge congratulations to our four winners and an even bigger thank you to them, all the other entrants, and to all those who reached out to their favorite businesses and people they knew to let them know about our giveaway.
If you loved the first Spotlight Story we did with Just Crock It, after meeting these other amazing business owners, I feel comfortable saying that I think we’ll have some equally amazing Spotlight Stories to come!

While our first Directory Drive Giveaway may be over, we’re not done. If you’re a McHenry County (including those located in cities that are partially within McHenry County) business, organization, nonprofit, event manager or provider, or deal with real estate, then you can still join us (for free).
We’re here to give you a platform to connect with potential customers, clients, donors, volunteers, buyers, renters, etc. Whoever you are trying to reach, we’re here to help. You can add your listing, often in about 5 minutes or less. And once approved, you have full control over and can update it whenever and as often as you like.
Our aim is to offer the most detailed directory and event listings around so that you can communicate as much about you as possible. Check out this page for all of our listings’ features.
