Explore & Experience Ringwood

Welcome to the Village of Ringwood, Illinois.

It is said that Ringwood was so named based on the ring of trees that surrounded the meadow where the original settlement was made.

The eastern edge of Ringwood runs along Hwy 31, and the Glacial Park Conservation Area serves as the northern border.

Growing concerns of losing its identity through an eventual annexation by Johnsburg led the village to officially incorporate in 1994, over a century after its original founding.
