Welcome to the Village of Barrington Hills, Illinois. Barrington Hills is one of only three municipalities in Illinois that resides within four different counties: McHenry, Lake, Kane, and Cook Counties.

Barrington Hills was officially incorporated in 1957, but like much of McHenry County, began in the late 1800s.

In the early 1900s, it became popular for Chicago executives seeking summer estates. To this day, it is still home to beautiful rolling pastures, large horse farms, a large forest preserve, and the Barrington Hills Polo Club, the largest polo club in the Central Circuit of the United States Polo Association (USPA)
