Below you will find a list of disc golf courses, broken out by city and village. Each listing includes the address and a map, as well as contact information and where we have it, a link to the course host’s page detailing their course.

Courses range in size, difficulty level, and quality, but one of the great benefits of the sport is that courses are generally free to play on. Please note though that some locations, like those at schools, are not “open” during school hours. If in doubt, check the host’s page or contact them.

Of course, the best benefit of disc golf is that it provides low-impact exercise in the great outdoors!

Tips for Disc Golf

The biggest trap new players fall into is trying to throw the disc as hard as they can. This usually results in a short, high, looping throw that crashes to the left (for right-handed backhand players).

Smooth is Far, Far is Smooth: Focus on a clean, flat release rather than raw power. Power comes from mechanics, not muscle.
Keep it Flat: Beginners tend to release the disc with the outer edge tilted upward (hyzer). Practice releasing the disc completely flat, parallel to the ground.
The “Lawnmower” Pull: When throwing a backhand, don’t swing your arm in a wide arc. Instead, pull the disc straight across your chest, as if you’re aggressively pulling the starter cord on a lawnmower.

You do not need 15 discs when you are starting out. In fact, using high-speed distance drivers too early will actually ruin your form.

Disc Type	Speed Rating	Why You Need It
Putter	1 – 3	The most important disc. Used for finishing holes and short approach shots.
Mid-Range	4 – 6	Straight-flying, reliable, and holds whatever line you put it on. Great for learning form.
Fairway Driver	7 – 9	Maximum speed a beginner should touch. Easier to control than high-speed distance drivers.

Pro Tip: If you can’t throw a Mid-Range disc straight for at least 200–250 feet, put the Distance Drivers away. Drivers require high arm speed to fly correctly; without it, they just dive into the ground.

Drive for show, putt for dough. You can have a 400-foot drive, but if it takes you three putts to get into the basket, your score will suffer.

Find a Routine: Develop a repeatable putting stance and rhythm. Step up, take a breath, visualize the chains, and commit.
Aim for a Specific Link: Don’t just look at the basket. Pick a single chain link right in the center-back of the pole and try to hit it.
Commit to the Throw: A lot of missed putts happen because the player “soft-publishes” out of fear of going past the basket. Push through the disc and follow through with your hand.

Play “Smart” Golf: You don’t always have to go straight for the basket. If the basket is hidden behind a wall of trees, look for the safest landing zone (the “landing area”) that gives you an easy second shot.
Learn to Scramble: You will land in the bushes. Practice awkward stances, stand-still throws, and patent-pending shots so you can get out of trouble gracefully.
Leave No Trace: Respect the course. Pack out your trash, don’t break branches to clear a line, and be courteous to other park users.
