Story: Prairie Ridge High School, or “PR” as it’s often called, stands out as a premier public high school. Opened in 1997, PR boasts a reputation for academic excellence, consistently ranking among the best high schools in Illinois and nationally. With a student body of around 1,100, PR offers a close-knit community while providing a comprehensive curriculum that includes rigorous academics, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and exciting Project Lead the Way (PLTW) programs.
