Welcome to the City of Harvard, Illinois, the last stop on the Union Pacific / Northwest Line.

Harvard is one of only five cities within McHenry County, with the rest being villages. Founded in 1867 and incorporated as a village around 1868 or 1869, the residents voted in 1891 to change their structure to officially become a city, administered by a mayor rather than a village president.

Harvard is home to Harvard Milk Days, one of the oldest festivals in Illinois.
