McHenry County has no shortage of farmers markets, thankfully, and now there’s one more to add to that list. After photographing the annual Hebron Independence Day parade, I decided to swing down through Johnsburg on my way home to stop in and check out the new Markets of Remington Farm.
This wasn’t an in-depth visit by any means, but mostly a quick walk-thru to grab some photos to recognize this new event and our newest Lifer (you too can join for free and become a Lifer).
In addition to some quick photos, I had the chance to meet the couple behind the market and Remington Farm, Sarah and Josh Hagen.

Remington Farm and the new Markets of Remington Farm is the result of a desire to lead a more meaningful life, centered on intentional living.
At least for now, the market is being held on the first Saturday of the month, running May through October, from 8 am to 2 pm.
Like other farmers markets in the area, you’ll find a mix that extends from produce to crafts and home decor, and perhaps a few things in between.
The Markets of Remington Farm is another great way to support local farmers and businesses. It’s also a fun and family-friendly way to spend a Saturday morning. Remember though, the Remington Farm farmers market takes place on the first Saturday of the month, so don’t miss it!
