Happy New Year! Hope you all had a wonderful end to 2022 and are looking forward to what the new year has in store. While the new year can be an exciting time with lots of promise and new opportunities, it can also be a time of stress and anxiety, especially during turbulent times. So, we thought, what better way to start off the new year than by holding a giveaway?!
And what better giveaway than one that not only puts some money into our community but also lets the winner choose their prize!

Presenting, the first-ever “My McHenry Life $100 Giveaway!”
The giveaway will run until the end of January and there are multiple ways to earn entries (no purchase necessary). The first way to earn an entry is by telling us where you want to use your prize. It can be a business, organization, or even a charity (i.e., toward a purchase or as a donation to that charity), as long as it has a location within McHenry County, or is within a village that is partially within the county.
Announcing the Winner
It was an honor and pleasure to award the $100 winnings from our highest participation giveaway yet. The winner of the giveaway elected for it to be made as a charitable donation and wanted to remain anonymous. The charity that the winner chose was the Youth and Family Center of McHenry County.
The Youth and Family Center of McHenry County, located in McHenry, is a nonprofit organization that serves youth and adults from all over McHenry County. Their youth services feature after-school as well as summer camp programs. They also have a parent mentor program, an adult engagement program, and various other programs and services to help those within the community. Youth and Family Center not only provides its own programming, but it can also help those in need seek out and connect with other agencies and services.
