Located at the Lost Valley Visitor Center within the expansive Glacial Park in Ringwood, the McHenry County Conservation District offers a distinct slate of nature-immersion camps. This location leverages the unique landscape of the Nippersink Creek, offering the popular Eco-Explorer Camp (ages 8–11) where children canoe the waterway and explore diverse prairie, woodland, and wetland habitats.
Younger children in the Young Explorers program participate in half-day sessions focused on pond and field animal habitats.
