Story: Congratulations to all who came out to last Sunday’s workday and dealt an impressive blow to the invasive purple loosestrife scourge.
This Sunday, August 25, we’ll focus on gathering ripe wetland seeds, and scout for species to gather next time, too.
Seed gathering is a wonderful activity for learning more about plant communities and restoration – come experience the joy of learning, discovering, and giving back to the ecosystem. Never gathered seeds before? No problem! All are welcome. Leaders will guide and mentor.
Meet at the end of Palmer Drive in the Village of Lakewood at 9am. We’ll work until around 12pm.
Please RSVP to kishfenfriends@gmail.com if you’re thinking about coming.
