With Special Guests District 3 – County Board Member Terri Greeno, McHenry County Clerk/Recorder Joe Tirio, Assessor Alex Benitez, and Treasurer Donna Kurtz will lead a panel discussion on the ABCs Of McHenry County Property Taxes. The presentation will include:
– Understanding your tax bill
– Applying for exemptions such as Senior Freeze and Homestead
– How to appeal your assessment
– How your tax bill is built
– How voters change tax bills
– How to set up Fraud Alert to protect your property
– Hands-on demonstrations of Property Tax Tools you can use.
All participants will receive a reference guide to take notes and use at home.
