Story: Join the Veterans Network Committee of Northern Illinois as they honor the brave Illinois soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Experience the Field of the Fallen featuring flags, one each bearing a soldier’s name, date of death, and age starting from the Gulf conflict.
The Veterans Network Committee will be standing watch over the field 24/7 throughout the weekend to ensure that these heroes are never forgotten.
Every hour on the hour, a list of names from the display will be read aloud so that their memories live on forever.
Come for the opening ceremony at 6 pm on Friday and/or the closing ceremony at 5 pm on Monday.
